ALL SPRING SPORTS PRACTICES AND CONTESTS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED THROUGH APRIL 13TH.


Fall Sports Begin
Our Fall sports programs have begun.  We encourage all students to get involved and participate in our school and/or district teams.  

Each middle school offers Girls Volleyball.  For information on practices and the coaching staff, please visit the school front office.

We also offer the following district teams:
Cheer - practice at RHS from 5:30-7:30pm
Football - practice at Grant MS from 4:00-6:00pm
Cross Country - practice at RHS from 4:00-6:00pm
Girls/Boys Water Polo - practice at RHS from 5:00-7:00pm

KCUSD FREE Sports Physicals Days
KCUSD is once again offering FREE sports physicals for our students.  We are encouraging our middle school and high school student-athletes to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity that would fulfill the athletic clearance requirement for the 2019-20 school year.
The days and times of the physicals are as follows:
May 20-22 @ RHS (1:00-7:00 p.m.)
May 23-24 @ OCHS (1:00-7:00 p.m.)


Softball and Baseball Teams Qualify for Playoffs.
The 7th grade softball team will travel to WAMS (Sanger).
The 7th grade baseball team will host Rio Vista M.S. at TL Reed School.
The Bucs 8th grade baseball team ended the season as the #1 seed and will host WAMS (Sanger) at Reedley H.S.
All games will be played on Monday, May 6th at 3:30pm.
The championship game is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8th.  Good luck Buccaneers!

Swim Teams Win 1st and 3rd at Kerman Invitational.
The Buccaneers swim teams competed in the Kerman Invitational this past weekend and each medaled.  The girls' team placed 3rd while the boys' team took the top honors and won 1st place.  Congratulations Bucs!

Spring Sports Season Begins February 12th
The Spring season officially begins on Tuesday, February 12th.  Try-outs will be held at a date to be determined.  Practice sites will be as follows:
Softball @ Grant M.S.
Baseball @ TL Reed
Swimming @ RHS Aquatics Complex

Football Season Concludes 
The Buccaneers football season has concluded after the 7th grade team lost its playoffs game to Tenaya M.S. this past Saturday.  Both Bucs' teams showed a lot of growth and potential this season, and should be very competitive next year.  Coach Carter and his staff did a great job and will have the team ready.  Thank you cheer team, parents, families, and community for the support you provided the Buccaneers.

Water Polo Teams in the Playoffs
The girls and boys teams each qualified for the CVAL playoffs on Monday, October 29th.  The girls received the #2 seed and will play Edison @ 3:30pm at the RHS Aquatics Complex.  The #4 seeded boys will play top seed WAMS at Sanger H.S.  The winner of each contest will compete in the championship game on October 31st.

7th Grade Football Playoffs
The 7th grade Buccaneers football team will head to the playoffs this Saturday, October 27th at against Tenaya M.S.  Game time is 9:00am at Bullard H.S.  Good luck Bucs!

FREE Boys Basketball Camp
The KCUSD boys' basketball program will be hosting a free camp for all middle school boys.  The camp will be held on October 29,30 and November 1 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Grant Gym.

Winter Sports Practice Begins November 5th.
Attention 6th-8th grade students...if you would like to participate in the district's middle school sports teams, you can join by attending practice and submitting the athletic clearance forms that are available in the main office.  Practice sites and times are as follows:
Basketball @ Grant M.S./TLR (alternates weekly)
Wrestling @ Grant M.S.

7th Grade Buccaneers Beat Sanger
Our 7th grade football team pulled off some late game heroics and beat Sanger 8-0.  Both teams played great but the Bucs were able to take the lead with 25 seconds left in the 4th quarter to secure their first win against the Warriors. 

Boys Water Polo Places 1st
The Buccaneers were the champions of the Bronze Division at the Clark Intermediate Tournament this past weekend.  The boys defeated the hosts in the championship game to earn the victory and title.  Congratulations Bucs




Water Polo Teams Win Again
The girls and boys water polo teams were each victorious on October 11th against Madera.
The girls won decisively 10-6 and the boys' team won a 7-5.  Great job Buccaneers!


Bucs' Football Sweeps El Capitan M.S.
The Buccaneer football teams each had great performances this past Saturday, October 6th.  Both teams dominated the Eagles as the 7th grade team won 42-24, and the 8th graders impressed with their 43-8 victory.  Congratulations Bucs!  
Please come out and support this upcoming Saturday the 13th, as the teams will take on the Sanger Warriors.  Game times are 9:00am and 11:00am.
